Corfu International Airport is also referred to as Ioannis Kapodistrias (Capodistrias) International Airport. The Airport is owned by the Greek government and is located on the Greek island of Corfu at Kerkyra. More specifically, Corfu Airport is situated just 1.2 miles/2 km south of Corfu Town and only 0.5 miles/0.8 km north of Pontikonisi.

Corfu International Airport is actually named after Ioannis Kapodistrias, who was a famous Corfiot diplomat and the first governor of Greece. The airport carries the international airport code of CFU (IATA), LGKR (ICAO) and CFU (FAA LID). Corfu Airport sits in a slightly elevated location just 6 feet/2 meters above sea level at 39°36′07″ N and 19°54′42″ E.

There is also a taxiway, which is 17,800 meters long. In addition, the area around the runway includes a fire station, 10 aircraft parking spaces, and 28 general air force parking spaces.
